Know Your Coffee
So you're not a barista, but going to a coffee shop and knowing the difference between different coffees on a menu can be rather confusing, it's so easy to opt for a Cappuccino or Americano. Some coffees may look very similar, but can vary quite a bit in taste.
The main difference between many coffee drinks is the amount of foam, milk, and espresso that it contains.
So I thought I'd quickly share a quick insight into a few common types of coffee drinks and their differences.
A Cappuccino - known for being milky yet the espresso doesn't go unnoticed. Those who prefer more milk than coffee would appreciate the flavour of this drink. The milk to coffee ratio of the cappuccino is:
1/3 Espresso
1/3 Steamed Milk
1/3 Milk Foam
Macchiato - is made up of a small amount of milk with a lot of espresso. So basically, it is an espresso shot with a spot of milk in it.
Latte / Caffe Latte - the texture of the foam on a latte is what gives this coffee drink its distinct look and taste.
Double Shot of Espresso
Steamed Milk
A layer about 1 cm thick
PS. This is my absolute favorite cup of coffee...
Mocha - also known as a Caffe Mocha or Mocaccino, this coffee drink combines espresso with hot milk and chocolate and is a variant of the latte. The espresso to milk ratio of a mocha is about the same as a latte, but the addition of white, milk or dark chocolate to the drink is a must.
Flat White - is essentially a Latte with a bit less milk. A Flat White contains a double shot of espresso. Normally served one of two ways; with little or no foam, or with a lot of foam.
PS. This is my second favorite coffee...
Now all that's left to decide is, which coffee you will be ordering next?

We visited Rome in May and drank Cappuccino every morning. I am generally a black coffee kind of guy but I loved the change up.
Didn't realize that many drinks were just different amounts of foam/milk!

Black coffee is really good too! You can really taste the flavour of the bean and the aroma it leaves in a room! It's definitely easier to make :)
What I like about black coffee (which I drink daily) is it helps me skip breakfast, it's delicious, and I don't take in any sugar with it.
And I can take a thermos of it to work and sip all morning. 😋

I feel sort of detoxed after drinking black coffee. I gave up sugar in my coffee in May. Now I can't imagine coffee with sugar at all... would taste like syrup :) But we need to discuss the skipping breakfast thing. My morning is not the same without two blocks of Nutrific and a splash of milk :P
Skipping breakfast is perfectly healthy and I'm most energized when I do it!
Myself four months ago would be a little surprised by that, but myself four years ago would be completely shocked by it.

Greetings to all coffee lovers! I recently came across an interesting article here https://holacoffee.co.uk/expertise/is-coffee-good-for-you/ about the benefits of coffee, and I would like to share my thoughts. It turns out that coffee can be a very healthy drink. Research shows that moderate coffee consumption helps improve cognitive function, increase energy levels and even reduce the risk of some chronic diseases.
