White tea - a high-quality tea variety

Some also call the white tea a green tea variety, but this is not quite true. Although both types of tea are stimulating and invigorating, they differ in the method of production. The white tea is obtained from the unopened leaf buds of a tea bush growing in Fujian, a southern province of China. A very gentle air and light drying process gives the tea its mild taste. As one of the six Chinese teas, this variety is particularly high quality.
Some questions for sure: Is tea healthy? The answer to this question is that most teas are healthy, because they are natural herbs. In China, white tea is valued for strengthening the immune system. If you suffer from high blood pressure, blood pressure-lowering teas - like the white tea - are ideal. The Pai Mu Tan, also known as white peony, is a particularly high quality and healthy white tea. In addition to their beneficial effects, the blood pressure-lowering teas from China are also stimulating, as they contain caffeine.

How is white tea made?

The white tea is prepared in the same way as green tea.
While some teas are sprinkled with boiling water, white and green tea only needs to be boiled for a short time and then left to cool. Boiling water would destroy it and ruin the healthy effect. The ideal temperature is about 75 degrees Celsius.
It is also advisable to rinse the teapot with warm water before preparation. For one litre of tea you need eight to eleven grams of dried tea, pour the hot water over it and let it steep for a few minutes. The longer it draws, the more intense the flavour develops. However, it is recommended to let it infuse for a maximum of five minutes. Yin Zhen tea is considered to be particularly heavy and persistent, which is not everyone's taste. Nevertheless, it is worth trying out different kinds of tea - they are not only good for the body, they also flatter the senses and provide inner harmony.
