Barista Tricks on how to make the perfect filtercoffee!
Being a barista for some time now, i often get a less-than perfect filtercoffee when i go out for coffee myself. With these tips, you can make the perfect brew at home!
- Be sure to use a scale to weigh water and coffee
- Be sure to wash out the paper filter before use.
- Heat the filter and coffee-can before usage. Make sure they are nice and hot.
- use this ratio: 60 gram of coffee for a liter of water
- Use the freshest coffee you can find
- Grind the beans till a salt-like powder.
- After grinding the coffee, use it as soon as possible..
- Measure the temperature of the water.. make sure its 80-85C (no boiling water)
- when pouring the water on the coffee grind, Be sure to first wet the grind a bit, and wait, so it has the time to bloom.
