Intro 

귀여운 다람쥐 그림을 내세운 호들코인에 대해서 알아보도록 하겠습니다. 

다람쥐가 도토리를 모아다가 겨울을 위해 저장하듯이, 저축에 포인트를 맞춘 코인으로 시장에 런칭된지는 조금 됐지만, 아직 거래 되고 있는 코인입니다.

전문적인 채굴은 엄두가 안나고 노트북밖에 없어서 CPU로 가볍게 체험정도 해볼 수 있는 코인을 찾다가 발견했고, 저도 150개 정도 채굴했습니다. 800원정도 되네요ㅋㅋㅋ.. 재미삼아 해보기 좋은 코인인 것 같아 이렇게 소개합니다 ;)

개요

HOdlcoin (HODL)은 비교적 새로운 방식의 실험적인 알트코인으로 코인 지갑프로그램을 사용하여 CPU로만 채굴 할 수 있습니다. PoW방식의 코인이지만 지갑 잔액에 이자를 주며 더 높은 이자율을 쳐주는 '예금(deposit)' 옵션이 있습니다. 

이 코인이 작동하는 알고리즘은, 얼리어답터들이 코인을 더 초기에 확보하여 보관할수록, 더 높은 이자율을 지급하도록 하여 더 많고 광범위한 이용자들을 짧은 시간에 확보할 수 있도록 한다는 컨셉에 기반합니다.

디파짓에 이자를?

네. 이자를 줍니다. 일반적인 이자율은 5 %이지만, 추가 보너스와 예금으로 이자율은 기하 급수적으로 증가 할 수 있습니다. '예금'은 PoS와 매우 유사한 방식으로 작동하지만 약간의 차이가 있습니다. 코인은 예치를 원하는 기간 동안 잠금상태가 되고 예금을 더 오래 할 수록 이자율이 높아집니다. 현재 금리와 보너스를 확인하려면 HOdlcoin 이자율 계산기r를 확인하시면 되겠습니다. 

사실 이 코인은 런칭된지 1년이 넘은 상태라 초기 보너스는 거의 없어진 상태입니다. 초기는 보너스가 2000%가 넘을 정도로 높아서 인기가 있었죠. 

알고리즘

이 코인에는 1GB AES 패턴 검색 증명 알고리즘이 사용됩니다. 이 알고리즘은 pseudo-random(반 무작위) 데이터로 RAM을 채우고, 그 다음 해당 데이터에서 AES 암호화 된 데이터 패턴 시작 지점에서부터 서칭을 하게됩니다. 이 패턴서치는 ProtoShares Momentum PoW의 발전으로 MemoryCoin에서 처음 사용되었으며 이후 CryptoNight (Monero, Bytecoin), Ethash (Ethereum)에서 사용하도록 변경되었습니다. 

CPU only 채굴

현재는 코인지갑을 통해 CPU로만 HODLcoin 채굴 할 수 있습니다. 아직 별도의 채굴소프트웨어가 없거나 코인을 채굴 할 수있는 채굴풀이 없습니다. 즉, 코인을 채굴 할 수있는 모든 컴퓨터에서 별도의 HOdlcoin 지갑을 사용해야합니다. 따라서 이 코인은 개인(single) 채굴시스템이기 때문에, 채굴량이 운에 의해 크게 좌우되기도 합니다.

 HOdlcoin (HODL) is a relatively new experimental altcoin that can only be mined with the CPU for the moment using the coin’s wallet and although it is a PoW coin you get interest on your wallet balance and there is an option for deposit with even higher interest rate.

  The algorithm of the coin is made in a such way that early adopters holding their coins in the wallet get higher interest rates with the idea to attract more users resulting in a wider coin adoption for a shorter period of time. The regular interest rate is 5% APR, but with the extra bonuses and deposits the interest can grow exponentially. The deposits work in a way very similar to PoS, though there are some differences, your coins are locked for a period of your choice and the longer the deposit, the higher interest rate you get. Pattern Search is an evolution of the ProtoShares Momentum PoW, first used in MemoryCoin and later modified for use in CryptoNight (Monero, Bytecoin), Ethash (Ethereum). For the moment you can only mine HODL coins with your CPU via the wallet, there is no separate miner available yet or a pool where you can mine the coin. This means that you will have to run a separate HOdlcoin wallet on every computer where you want to be able to mine the coin and since it is solo mining luck can also play big role in how much you might be able to mine.
