ColorChallenge: WednesdayYellow - Daffodils in the Snow
Undeterred by a spring snow, daffodils embody a cheerful optimism.
I am always reminded of the hym, Julian of Norwich (Sydney Carter) by this sight. The lyrics, based on the words of the mystic Julian of Norwich, include the lines:
Love, like the yellow daffodil, is coming through the snow
Love, like the yellow daffodil, is Lord of all I know
This snow was just a skiff, but I have seen daffodils raising their sunny heads above a blanket of snow six to eight inches deep.
