Color Challenge Thursday Green -Lantau Hong Kong
Not just a Concrete Jungle
When people think of HK, they normally picture tall skyscrapers,busy urban life, and well, concrete. But HK is far more. In fact most of HK is completely green, jungle like vegetation, with an abundance of flora and fauna. Here are a few snaps I took while on a recent hike on Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
Lantau is in fact the largest island in Hong Kong, and is well known for its hiking trails and old school pre city villages.
The development seen in the photos is known as Discovery Bay, and is about a 30min ferry trip to Hong Kong Island. Getting out in nature is one way to maintain sanity in this fast-paced and crowded urban metropolis.
If you look carefully in two of the photos you can see the IFC skyscraper in the distance, through the haze.
