All we can do when we notice something wrong is to attempt to put it right. Check what local plants are most loved by butterflies and go buy 3 or 4 of then from your nearest garden shop. Put them outside your front door or in your garden if you have one. Help wildlife flourish basically in whatever small way you can. If every person did this there would be no such talk of where are the butterflies. I hope to see photos of what you buy and the butterflies on them soon.
