HOW COULD I HELP MY PARENTS IN MY OWN WAYS?

It's not one's fault he was born out of poverty. But dying poor is his own sin. And no one is to blame but himself.

If you have read the last post, I'm sure you had read the quote above.

I was not born with golden spoon. We could eat three times a day, we live in a house, yet we couldn't afford to watch movies in the cinema, couldn't travel, and almost couldn't afford education.

It was hard to watch parents being problematic, thinking how to budget money, finding ways to give you a better life, yet they couldn't do much because they don't have everything.

It was painful to see then arguing because they don't know how to deal with the problems anymore. And I couldn't do anything to stop them from doing that. I don't have the guts to tell them what I feel whenever it happens.

No matter what people say, no matter how they live life, I do believe love alone couldn't make you live. Because frankly, we need money to survive. We need money to buy our necessities. We need money to get what we want.

For families who are in the poverty line, money is a big deal. And it is for me.

As I say, I am not born rich. So I need to deal with it.

How can someone help the parents in their own simple way? How do I help my parents lift their pain and burden away?

VALUE EDUCATION

Knowledge is something that no one couldn't steal away from you. And knowledge is acquired by educating yourself.

I am glad that God blessed me with knowledge. I was able to use it to get scholarship in my school now. If not because of the scholarship, I will not be able to get myself in college and be able to get a degree (soon).

I could help my parents by valuing my education and use it to defend myself and my family against people who would think of harming us. By education, it helps me to find the things I am best at and further improve it. By education, I was able to appreciate someone's big works and be aware why and how things behave and change.

Earning a degree will give me an edge to find a job in the future. Though what I really wanted is... to study not to work but to study to give work.

PART-TIME WORKING

I am currently a third year Accountancy student and a Certified Public Accountant in Transit. Our responsibility as an accountant is to make financial statements of an organization, interpret it in order for the management to make a wise and good decision.

If I am to work while attending school, I prefer working in an environment that is so much related to my course. And with the help of God and my manager @alexander.bucol , I was able to get the job. Right now, I am a bookkeeper in a cooperative and currently finishing the financial report of the organization.

I was able to help my parents by working. I was able to use the money I earn for my daily expenses and avoid asking for financial support from my parents. In that way, they're able to spend the money for other things which are necessary.

DOING HOUSE CHORES

I have two sisters. Fortunately (maybe?), we are born to be girls. So it is our job to help our parents clean the house. We usually have tasking. One should do this and the other that. We've been following it to avoid misunderstanding, though.

I am able to help my parents in a way that they will not think of how the house looks like anymore as they come home from work. That all they have to do is to rest and we'll do the rest. Clean environment will give them comfort and good vibes.

But do you know what's the biggest help you could give to your parents?

LOVE YOURSELF

How? Why?

Parents rather sacrifice themselves for us. Our happiness is their happiness. Our pain is theirs, too.

By loving thyself, we could help them and make them happy. By loving thyself and finding our happiness, we could give them satisfaction and that intangible reward that they have done their best to give us the best life.

By finding our purpose and doing the best in everything, we could change things and improve it. By doing our best and loving every second of doing it, we wouldn't be able to find regret in our hearts.

By being the best of who we are and be a good and useful individual in the society, we could give them pride that they have raised one-of-a-kind creation.

By loving thyself first before others, we would know how to love them, too. By being happy first, we would know how to make them happy. And by finding the purpose in our life and pursuing them, we would know how big the help we give to our parents.

It's not one's fault he was born out of poverty. But dying poor is his own sin. And no one is to blame but himself.

Yes. The quote is very applicable in life. We are the captain of our ship. So whatever choices we have and whatever we choose, it is still us that is liable to the consequences. What we do in the past affects the future. So if you want to make a change, start it now!

Lovely write up! Everyone has their challenges, however I love something you said: "No matter what people say, no matter how they live life, I do believe love alone couldn't make you live. Because frankly, we need money to survive. We need money to buy our necessities. We need money to get what we want." I think this holds really true! Money answers all things! And I pray that your efforts would yield accelerated financial and successful outcomes at every count, and that you and your siblings would continually bring so much fulfillment and satisfaction to your parents and loved ones. And I really hope this post leaves a positive mark on everyone who reads this. Have a beautiful week.
