Looking for Power Apps logic help

Hi everyone! I am currently working on a small internal project for my team - just a basic app to manage equipment requests. I thought I could handle it with some YouTube tutorials, but I have hit a massive wall with some specific filter functions and data connections. It is so frustrating when a simple formula just refuses to work. I have been spending hours browsing the Microsoft Power Platform Community to find a solution, and while there is a lot of useful documentation, sometimes it is hard to find a direct answer to a specific bug. Has anyone here faced similar issues with gallery filtering? I feel like I am overcomplicating the whole logic. I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to a specific thread or maybe a mentor who could explain the basics of DAX and Power FX in simple terms. I really want to finish this app by the end of the week because the manual paperwork is driving us crazy.
