I had a similar issue and what worked for me was uninstalling Office completely using their support tool, then restarting before reinstalling. I’m using ms office for mac now, and I noticed some errors didn’t happen there, especially during updates. It feels like the Windows version sometimes keeps old files that mess things up, so doing a clean install really made a difference.
