I'm not sure if social media makes people more narcissistic. I have noticed more of a need to comply and not stand out from the crowd. That's probably why I'm pleased it wasn't around when I was young.

Saying yes, it would be wrong, rather than becoming narcissistic, social media highlight our inherent characteristics, love our ego is something natural, but with social networks, we have the opportunity to make it notice much more.
50/50 It really depends on one's attitude towards the use of social media. It may be used for time pass only, or being really social, or business/marketing. Social media can be used either way but it depends on user @bunnypuncher
