@lordtricky - In the US, either you pay the tax the IRS believes you owe or you go to jail once they realize that you are refusing to pay. Good luck if you believe anything else . . . .
good job im not in the states then, the guberment would be funding my 3 meals a day and my 4 walls and a roof, i will not contribute to guberment terrorism ;)
I have no idea how British taxes work -- but don't you have the same problem (situation ;-) in the UK?
no not really mate, you only have to pay tax here if you accept a job that forces you to pay income tax, or if you are stupid enough to request the liability by way of registering for self assessment, but nothing makes registration mandatory, it is simply voluntary, and the majority of folk all avoid paying tax like the plague here :)
