Announcing Two Winners of the SP Contest
Understandably, for many, those who won the little delegation contest in which three people would win 1,000 SP are yet to receive their rewards or even find out they've won.
The contest, to a degree, was quite a success. With many people participating and providing some fresh opinions and posts to the #film and #movies tags, even without being relatively large fans of them.
I have, however, distributed two of the rewards so far, and have kept relatively quiet about doing so for the purpose of having not yet decided the third winner. So, congratulations to both @ecotone and @jcrodriguez, they've received 1,000 SP delegations already.
Some of you may be wondering who the third is, and well, the truth is, there isn't one yet. I had noticed that a few entries didn't quite qualify for the contest as a result of existing SP balances reaching above 1,000; and with the others it has been a bit of a struggle to pick.
Some may not post that often, or perhaps slightly lack the curation side of things a bit. This is fine, but for now I'm keeping a close eye on those habits to see if an ultimate decision can be made.
A positive that I have noticed as a result of holding a contest in which posting something is required, is that each person has been discovered by other Steem posters, receiving upvotes for their content and comments. I feel this little contest is a push in the right direction for future ones, which I certainly intend on holding.

One thing I failed to mention was that those who did contribute will continue receiving curation from me providing their posts maintain some type of quality to them. I'm always up for discovering new minnows to help grow. :^)
It does get difficult to find new people to support, I still try every now and then to look over the introduceyourself tag, but it has become pretty polluted once again, so contest like yours and others reaching out to new users are a great place to find people to support, so I appreciate that effort on your part,

It's all thanks to the generosity of @eeks. Without his delegations, I wouldn't be able to do these little contests and maintain the curation of minnows!
I certainly plan on doing more in the future (last time I gave away 500 Steem and then gave out several 500 SP delegations for a few months) as my own SP grows. I've always seen Steem as a network with so much potential, but only if those with significant stakes distribute the wealth enough for that growth to accumulate among the rest.
I remember having less than 500 SP and thinking about how much I wanted to properly support others, not only so that they'd actually be rewarded, but grow enough to do the same to someone else. Again, thanks to @eeks I can now do this!
