I think both are mutually exclusive, in most cases.

Very few people are blessed enough to earn while they are pursuing their passion. For them, satisfaction scores higher than salary. For others, like me, salary is a little more important than satisfaction.

It is highly subjective as to what is important to whom. It is an opinionated discussion too. Personally I get satisfaction when I am doing things that I love doing. I like my work. I don’t “love” it. I break after a point, when things get harsh and severe like a pressure cooker. I don’t break at all when I do things I love.

So, I do get satisfaction when I work, but it is definitely not going to be eternal. I work for money, basically. I have bills to pay and a family to take care of. So yes, even if I don’t get that level of satisfaction which I had dreamt of, I guess I will keep working for the money it pays.
