New Caledonia and Solomon Islands are scheduled to play their OFC Under-19 Championship 3rd place playoff game on 2018-08-18 at 9:00pm EST. Solomon Islands finished 1st in group B by winning all 3 games with a 1 goal margin of victory over New Caledonia, Fiji, and Vanuatu. New Caledonia held a 2-1 lead near the end of their first match against Solomon Islands but were unable to secure the victory and conceded a couple of late goals to lose 2-3. New Caledonia won their next game over Vanuatu by a score of 8-1 which set them up to advance from the group with only a 1-1 draw versus Fiji finishing 2nd place in group B. New Caledonia lost 1-2 to New Zealand in their semifinal while Solomon Islands lost 1-3 to Tahiti.
