While it may not be a scam in your opinion, it could be considered spam. Spam is not appreciated by the community and could be flagged or may result in action from the cheetah bot..
Some things that can be considered spam:
- Banner ads of any kind
- Referral links/codes
- Repeating the same post
- Links to known scams, phishing sites, and other dangerous links
Hi @steemcleaners, I’m sorry that you feel some elements of this post are spammy.
Looking through some of the other posts that you flag up as spam, however, I feel like my post is of far higher quality than many of them, and it’s not intended as spam, which many of the other posts appear to be.
I understand that some people don’t like posts with referral links, but at the same time, they’re just a small part of this post, and positioned out of the way at the bottom, past the main body of the article, where users can freely ignore them if they want, or click on them to support my content to help me keep making these kind of posts in the future.
I suppose I’m writing this because, whilst I can understand where you’re coming from with your criticism of this post, I feel like I’m being a bit harshly judged, and I’m concerned how the reputation and legitimacy of my content could be harmed by your comment.
I don’t really know what I’m hoping to achieve with this reply, but I do hope you might have a little more lieniency in future when deciding on what posts are spam and what aren’t, and maybe you could make a clearer distinction between legitimate posts where content creators are just trying to further the monetise their content, and posts that are unnecessary and purely exist to try and get clicks on a referral link.
I appreciate your efforts in trying to clean Steemit up a bit and reduce the number of spammy articles out there, but maybe there could be some adjustment to the way you go about it.
Thanks for reading this, and I do hope you aren’t too annoyed with this comment and understand where I’m coming from on this. I just wanted to give my two cents on this one.
