TBH this #craigrant tag is not bringing any more Steem Power to the people using it. Its maybe just helping you out by creating a reputation inside the Steemit community and appearing as a widely used tag. #keepitreal
upvoting and comments on interesting posts generates more steem power, it's better than upvoting the popular stuff on the trending page or the $0 stuff on the new page

a good reputation as widely used tag is good for those using the tag, as bloggers that visit the tag will upvote and comment on the posts
