When you talk about the top ten big guys in the mobile oil company, Ben's name must be counted; he is so intelligent and hardworking that he occupies an important position in the company.

The most interesting thing about Ben is how he is loved by the youth of his community; he is known by the youth for empowerment, advice, and making his community a unique one by organizing football competitions every December period.

As if that were not enough, he extended his act of generosity to the helpless widows around him.Ben was transferred to another branch as a supervisor; little did he know that he was transferred out because of jealousy and hatred from his colleagues. Did he stop doing his best? NO. He continued his work in his new place, and the company saw a tremendous change from the branch. Two months after Ben resumed in his new place of work, he fell sick. He was rushed to the company's clinic.

Days later the sickness became worse beyond clinic treatment, and he was moved to India for proper treatment and attention.As December approached, the youth of Ben's community expected their normal football competitions that are usually hosted by Ben, but this time no one heard anything from him. Ben's medical report came out; behold, it was a life-threatening sickness called leukemia. Ben's wife was devastated. He shared the bad news with the husband's family, but they decided to keep it a secret, hoping in God for a miracle.Ben's health kept getting worse by the day; it's no longer something to hide.

The parents broke the news to the youths and other people that care. The youth declared fasting and prayer for Ben; without hesitation, there was a difference in Ben's health, and he was discharged. Weeks later after his discharge from the hospital he resumed his work but this time one of his colleagues saw him and told him to face to face that he will not leave to see next month promotion as if that was not enough he proceeded to pour Ben some unknown liquid on his face , it became obvious that he is the one attacking Ben. The management of Mobile changed him from Ben's location the worst happened as the man said Ben didn't wake up the next morning he died and left a letter behind.

What does the broken clock symbolize in your work?

The broken clock symbolizes the pain and loss of a great humanitarian. Ben is the apple of his parents' eyes. They don't joke with him because he brought them out from poverty and made their household name a landmark in the community. His early death brought so much agony to the family, company, and the community at large.

The death of Ben created an everlasting stagnation, that will take a long time for Mobile company to move.

Is it a story of loss, hope, regret, or second chances?

It's a story of loss and regret. Ben lost his precious life in the quest to serve his company right. But then he left a big legacy that cannot be replaced by anyone. Until now, Mobile could not see someone like Ben making the clock tick while it was broken.

He regretted accepting his transfer letter to his new location where he met a devil in human form claiming to be his colleagues.

What lesson does your interpretation carry?

No matter our position in life, we should be mindful of people who don't want our progress. Ben was a carefree person who didn't look for trouble, not knowing his goodness was attracting hate to him that led to his death.

We should learn to speak up whenever our spirit did not accept our presence. In the case of Ben he complained to his friends without knowing they are the course of his transfer. If he was fast to tell the management that he wouldn't be able to work in that location because of family and other things ,he will be alive today.

We should learn to put God first, it was late for Ben to turn to God hence he was nonchalant when he was strong.
