SLC-S28/W6 | "Painting on fabric"||

You all are warmly welcome to my blog. Today I am going to share with you my submission for SLC S28/W6. This challenge organized by @sualeha is a contest that develops skills like creativity, patience,... contenters. I am grateful to her for organizing such a contest to submit such creative paintings.
On the other hand, I would like to happily say, this is the first time I have painted on a piece of cotton fabric using water colors. Since @sualeha had clearly explained the basic knowledge required for making a fabric paint, I used my best ability to paint it based on the Christmas theme. From now on, I will show you how I painted this fabric painting step by step.

Step by step procedure
First, I took a piece of cotton fabric and drew the picture to be painted with the help of a pencil. Here I used a piece of white cotton cloth because it is easy to capture the picture well. Here I am trying to draw a triangle with a higher vertical height and represent it as a Christmas tree. I used various circular shapes and spiral shapes in the Christmas tree to fill the space inside the Christmas tree.

After drawing the Christmas tree, I used a ruler to represent the stem part. I drew a square piece of cloth slightly smaller than A4 paper to fill the picture and finished it like that.

Now I have to paint on the pencil sketch with a brush. Since I wanted to represent the Christmas theme here, I used more green and colors like red, yellow, and blue. I used a brush to paint the large shapes on the Christmas tree. The other small dots were placed with the help of a cotton bud. Then I was able to reduce the white space by using as many shapes as possible on the Christmas tree.
Finally, I finished the drawing by drawing three gift boxes near the Christmas tree. I depicted it near the Christmas tree in the way that the gift boxes are wrapped. I also drew a yellow star on the top of the Christmas tree. I think that made the drawing look complete.

As a beginner, I had to learn from experience how much water to use to apply these colors to cotton fabric. In addition, I had to paint carefully on wet paint to avoid smudging my hands while applying the colors.
I used a minimum of materials when drawing this creation. I drew it freehand without using a stencil. In addition, I kept in mind the important things to do while painting throughout the Challenge. One of them is that when using water-based colors on a cotton fabric, you must definitely put a few binder drops. The binder helps the water-based colors to be fixed well without being absorbed by the cotton fabric and can be painted on the fabric.
