May is a special month for me

May is a very special month for me. I was born in this month, and my birthday is celebrated around the world as International Workers’ Day. In my country, it is commemorated as the Liberation Day of Irian Jaya—now known as Papua. This is something I might have easily forgotten. It was also in May that I joined this amazing platform, specifically on May 19. That is what makes this month so special in my life.
It was also in May that I got married to my current life partner. This month is so special—in fact, the historic day that marked the beginning of my married life also fell in May. Of course, this is a moment I could never simply forget. It was the moment I began the journey of self-discovery as I committed to building a life together with the loyal woman who is now my life partner.
It is all the more special that today, which coincides with the Eid al-Adha holiday in the year 1447 AH, is my wedding day. Today is such a special day in my life—one I could never just let pass by. It is a truly special day—a day on which I did something I could never simply forget.
This month really feels so special this year. In addition to May 1st, which is celebrated worldwide as Labor Day, May 27th is also observed globally—especially by Muslims—to celebrate Eid al-Adha. This serves as a reminder of just how special the month of May is, with each day forming an inseparable part of my life. Such beautiful days, all within this truly special month, especially for workers and Muslims around the world.
