All art isn't pretty

On this painting, i wanted to go outside of my box and see what would happen. Using three shades of gray. The water drops on the forehead were produced by using some thinner to push the paint around. I will let the pictures tell the tale.

This painting was very entertaining and frustrating to do. It was a constant push and pull of shading. Many times i feel like Doc Oct trying to use several arms (in this case mental arms) to contain the paint, and keep it in the desired direction. This one, like all of my paintings and creations did not turn out exactly like i wanted it to, but i do enjoy the outcome in retrospect. I always hate, or am just okay with my creations, but eventually grow to like them.

In some of these stages it reminded me of some sort of jungle native with their face painted for the hunt, or war.
