What's important in life? Creature comforts and friends and family.
Strip the hype veils away and what are you left with!? What's really important in life? The people that matter most are your true friends and family. They say it's the little things in life that matter, instead of calling them things I would say creature comforts are a huge part of saying a little goes a long way.
Some trek wave I made
This gibber putting out there sound like a cultWaahaha! Human creature comfort!?
Eating is a creature comfort. One of my favorites is a good sleep. I think it is best shared with other people, like say in a pot luck setting. Growing your own food enhances this as well. You know what you put into growing the food. Taking sustenance from ones own hand feels good. When you buy pre-packeged food the fun is taken out of it. You can take that creature comfort for granted and take your favorite flavors out of over processed heavily packeged food items. Yea, that's the way consumer culture goes - instant gratification. Cooking and baking for yourself gives the food a more earthly flavor I think. There's no food that tastes better or better for me than that made at home.
All the technological gizmos don't really matter, the entertainment industry doesn't really matter, as well as politics and the economy. It's true friends and family that is really all a person has! May the gossip pit hype be barred from that bond. What people need is a safe learning and earning environment, yet current social conditions doesn't provide it.
More Humane Than A Human
Some screechy preachie life is peachy
I think the world would be a different place if so many people were not over worked and could focus more on their creature comforts in natural ways. Getting entertained only by the t.v., porn and cheap food takes away from that. It's just making do instead of taking the time to revel in your own vitality. We will unslave ourselves from the g.d.p. and find new ways to take care of our communities I think.
These thoughts are coming to mind lately so trying to express them out here a bit.

In the Netherlands what you are talking about Gezellig, this word is complex and simple at the same time. It means a home that is comfy-cozy. My husband taught me this word because I didn't grow up in a comfy-cozy home here in America. I think the Hobbits got it right and they couldn't be ruled by the one ring that binds them all.
I don't think a convivial society could be ruled by a cursed ring of power
Greed never makes for good friendships or a cozy home....that's why anything that has to do with health, friendship, and family must be destroyed. But in the end the ring seeks to destroy itself because that's all it knows how to do...I'm a hobbit, it's time for second breakfast ....haha I am going to destroy some toast and honey with tea!
