Pakistan's left-handed middle-order batsman Fawad Alam scored a career-high second century in 11 years in the fourth innings of the Mount Mangnoi Test against New Zealand.
Fawad Alam's record-breaking century has largely cleared the cloud of defeat hovering over the Green Shirts, making him the first Pakistani batsman to score a century in the fourth innings of a match.
He completed the second century of his career after 14 years with the help of 14 fours, before scoring a century in the debut Test in July 2009.
Fawad Alam's record-breaking century is also unique in that he stood on the wicket for more than 360 minutes, after which he became the longest wicket-taker in the fourth innings outside Asia in a century.
Before Fawad Alam, Asad Shafiq had batted for 336 minutes in the fourth innings in 2016 in Brisbane.
