গতকাল টি-২০ লীগে ব্যাটিংয়ে নেমেই ৯৭ রানের ঝড়ো ইনিংস খেলেন মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল
বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় ক্রিকেট দলের সাবেক অধিনায়ক মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল, যার ব্যাট হাসলে হাসতো বাংলাদেশ, সময়ের বিবর্তনে ফিক্সিং কান্ডে জড়িত হয়ে দীর্ঘদিন ক্রিকেটের বাহিরে থাকার পর ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে ফিরেও নিজেকে প্রমাণ করেছেন আশরাফুল।
সর্বশেষ ঢাকা লীগে টানা ৩ সেঞ্চুরী সহ রেকর্ড ৫টি সেঞ্চুরী করেছেন ব্যাট হাতে। নিজেকে আরেকবার প্রমান করার জন্য দাপিয়ে বেড়াচ্ছেন বিভিন্ন দেশের ক্লাব ভিত্তিক লীগ গুলোতে।
আসন্ন ১৩ই আগষ্টের আগে জাতীয় দলে বিবেচিত হওয়ার সুযোগ না থাকায় বিসিবির অধীনে কোন দলে সুযোগ পাচ্ছে না আশরাফুল, কিন্তু নিয়মিত প্র্যাক্টিস ও জিমে সময় ব্যয় করছেন।
লন্ডনের একটি স্থানীয় লীগ খেলতে এখন সেখানে অবস্থান করছেন আশরাফুল এবং গতকাল নিজ দলের হয়ে ৬৮ বলে ৯৭ রানের ঝড়ো ইনিংস খেলেন, ম্যাচটি আইসিসি স্বীকৃত না হলেও বিভিন্ন ফেইসবুক পেজে সম্প্রচার করা হয় যেখানে আশরাফুলের ব্যাটিং শৈলী দেখেছে তার ভক্ত সমর্থকরা।
