Croatia - great tradition - feast of the Assumption
Patron Saint of Trpanj is Our Lady that is celebrated on the 15th of August.
On the feast of the Assumption , the locals in their boats come in front of the statue and from the boat attend the mass.
As one of the oldest settlements on Pelješac peninsula, Trpanj, a place of fishermen, grew into a tourist oasis on this part of Mediterranean.

Wonderful pic! We celebrate too the assumption in my village, but we only have a big fair and fireworks! =)
