Parity Hacker Is Cashing Out!

in #crypto-news7 years ago

Did you lose Ether on one of these ICO's?

It might be something to look into. The hacker is cashing out on changelly today.

I try to tell everyone that you should never invest more than you're willing to lose. That point should hold more value with these ICO's than anything. We're starting to see huge trends of hackers finding vulnerabilities in these smart contracts. Some, like Charlie Lee, have started pointing the finger at the coding language itself. Yesterday on twitter he made a statement:

I tend to agree with him on this one. I don't think he meant any malice with his statement. It's just very interesting that the creator of the platform itself can't even secure it properly. Please be wary of investing using these "multisig" wallets.

Crypto market needs to evolve a lot!

It has quite a bit but I agree with your logic. There is still much to be done.

cant they catch the guy this way if he is cashing out? Or does the money gets transfered and transfered to other accounts till its not traceable anymore? If he cashes out fiat money they could catch him no? I'll keep in mind to be extra carefull. Thanks for sharing :)

ETH to XMR... XMR to BTC

Then you buy a Lambo. 😎

The Ethereum foundation should speak out against these wild ICO's. You would of figured the DAO would of been a good lesson for ETH investors.

Absolutely. It's the California gold rush. Everyone is hoping to strike gold, while the pickaxe sellers are making loads of cash. (The hackers being the pickaxe vendors)

Great question. If the hacker were to cash out for fiat, he/she could easily be caught. I doubt this person is that stupid. If they transfer it to a crypto they can spend anywhere, using an anonymous coin, it'd be really difficult to track. Also, I'm sure they're spoofing their IP and running VPN's to make themselves untraceable.

I'll stick with my NEO/Antcoins. Less stress & worry, plus I like the platform better.
