If MIT can show the world first class solutions that can benefit Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies, perhaps by Lightning Network technology, it could rock the field. This sure could spark speculation in the Litecoin market.

I cannot recall any significant developments in Litecoin the last few years other than the recent Segwit implementation (that afterwards fell flat in the market). Despite its market cap and price, it is one of the slowest threads on Bitcointalk for such a major cryptocurrency.

So I am super curious about what all this is about. And unfortunately we still have a waiting period of 39 days ahead.
