How I Got Into The Crypto World

Today, I realized that although I’ve been on this platform for nearly 3 months, I’ve never really written about my journey into crypto.

So let me take this opportunity to tell you how I got into cryptoland!

I’ve got a very good friend who has been into crypto for eons and who has CONSTANTLY been telling me to invest and to get involved with crypto but life just kept on getting in the way (read: Every time I had some money, I would have to pay bills or some shit). So I never took the step to get into it.
If I would have done, I’d probably be quite a rich lady now but hey, life happens and you live and you learn

So at the beginning of September 2017, I had this inner feeling which translated into a message of ‘Okay, it is time to get into crypto!’.
I didn’t think much of it. It was more like an organic wish was being made rather than a statement.
And lo and behold, the next day, my bro who I hadn’t spoken to in months, called me up saying he was going to give me a gift.
And guess what it was?
It was a decent amount of $DGB.

Now I had no idea what Digibyte was or even what to do with, but my brother walked me through the steps.

He literally said to me :

‘I am giving this to you and you have to promise me to not touch it for the next 3-5 years! This is going to be our savior, our way out!’

(He very much believes in $DGB. I still haven’t really looked into what it really is but I am happy to see that after a massive dip, it is creeping up in value)

So this got me reading up a lot of articles on crypto.
And obviously, I bumped into a few Steemit articles but I still didn’t really understand what it exactly was.

A week later, I went to get some really good chips with truffle mayonaise (OH MY GOSH YUMMY) and I bumped into an acquaintance.

We started talking and I mentioned I was getting into crypto.
He knew I was blogging and vlogging and immediately asked me if I was on Steemit.
And I said no.

He totally told me to get onto Steemit and Dtube and to start making $$$ and bringing value to the community.

AND THANK FUCK, I LISTENED BECAUSE THAT NIGHT (the 25th of September 2017) I signed up for my Steemit account!

And I have never ever looked back!

Now I am slowly getting into other cryptocurrencies.

I am a lucky lady to have three CryptoKitties that have been gifted to me!

I haven’t bought anything yet but it’ll happen in the next few days!
