The US Goverment Will Not Be Buying Bitcoin
For all the hype and talk around the USA creating what is known as a strategic reserve I've personally been on the fence about it and thinking that it wasn't going to happen. That is now becoming more and more the supporting theory. A lot of the campaign for Trump and others was the promise for crypto and that honestly played a big part in electing him I believe. But now those promises and silver linings are already starting to show.
It was recently said that the USA simply would no longer sell it's bitcoin it gets from raids and confiscated from law enforcement. Thus meaning the government is only out raiding people to take their bitcoin for supposedly "illegal" activities. A slipper slope to go down and once again a rather oppressive government. What's stopping them from raiding anyone then and taking their crypto assets.
It's also speculated that the government simply might not ever buy bitcoin itself and only accumulate it via these methods. Outside of that we are also seeing that house and congress need to pass many laws of which none of them at first stack any type of value within the USA in terms of using government funds to buy it. Once again the accumulation will be done through tax, raids and other methods.
This is where I get into where why I no longer vote because it doesn't matter whos in power it's the same old story of the government constantly trying to take more and more from it's people and provide less and less.
What are you thoughts on the matter?
