For an international exchange with a long history and sound pedigree, Kraken is worth considering. Founded by Thanh Luu and Jesse Powell, who worked at Mt Gox and, supposedly foresaw its demise, Kraken began in 2011.

Kraken is the 8th largest exchange by trading volume, processing roughly half a billion dollars worht of trades daily. They claim to have more than 9 million users in nearly 200 countries. Trading on Kraken can be done on almost 600 pairs with a fairly industry standard fee of 0-0.25%. Kraken also offers a dedicated NFT marketplace.

You can also stake your coins and token on Kraken for some decent rewards, but always remember that when your coins are on the exchange that you do not have possession of them If anything where happen to the exchange then you could lose it all. However, with strong leadership and more than 10 years operating, Kraken has certainly gained the trust of many.

HOW TO JOIN
Kraken is an exchange which is easy to join.

Simply go to: https://www.kraken.com
You will see on the top right hand side ‘create new account’.

  1. There are then a few simple questions to fill in: namely , your email, user name, password and country of residence.
  1. Once you have completed this you will be asked to verify your email and then allowed into the site.

  2. Once you get onto the site you simply have to fill in your personal details and you are ready to go.

You can start trading immediately – assuming you can transfer some cryptocurrency into your account. However, you are restricted to smaller amounts for withdrawals.

Users from the United States will need to provide a SSN and if you wish to increase trading limits you will need to undergo further KYC. But for beginners, it is pretty quick and simple to begin.

Kraken offers a quality service to any level of trader. You can easily open an account, transfer cryptocurrency in and play around with it to get used to the exchange. It has over 120 different coins to buy and sell, so you will be able to build your portfolio. As one of the oldest exchanges it has a good history of security. To date, it has not been hacked or lost customers coins.
