I am in the United States and I have been using BitPay to spend crypto (https://bitpay.com/) .
It works very well and last time I cashed some crypto out it was 60 cents for the related fees.

Awh shucks. Hope you find a solution. Sounds like an opportunity for someone. The Canadian market is quite large.
