polling and thoughts?

I've only been on Steem since May and that coincides with any knowledge of crypto currency. What do people think about the end of the month deadline? Will they actually fork bitcoin? Seems silly to me but I'm a newbie. I had help getting started but am proud of my expanded horizons within this two month period. So tell me what you think?
