Lido V2 to Unlock Direct In-Protocol staked ETH

Lido Finance, a decentralized liquid staking solution for Ethereum 2.0, has announced the launch of Lido V2 on May 15th. The new version will unlock direct in-protocol stETH:ETH withdrawals, simplifying the withdrawal process for stakers.

Lido Finance's Latest Update to Simplify Withdrawals from Ethereum 2.0 Staking

Lido V2 will make it easier for stakers to withdraw their rewards in ETH without a lengthy validator exit process. This update will enable the fulfillment of initial withdrawal requests by allowing stakers to withdraw their stETH directly from the protocol.

The direct in-protocol stETH:ETH withdrawals will be made possible by the approximately 270,000 ETH currently held in the Lido vault. This will provide sufficient liquidity to fulfill initial withdrawal requests without compromising the security of the Lido protocol.
