I totally agree that show lost my interest after the first season. They made it seem like any joe scmo could go to Alaska and make it mining gold. What they don't tell you is that Discovery channel spends about 2-5 million on equipment etc... and pays the mining crew. Bottom nothing is real on television

Agree 100% no longer watch Deadliest Catch for the same reason or any Television programming for that matter
