It is pretty hard for developers to find something comparable like ether. And there are hundreds of startups already investing like crazy in Ethereum. Why they gonna change that ? Only because of a Hardfork? Ethereum already done a Hardfork(some people say: Yeah but this was on the protocol level...). It actually do not matter at all. The community, The Foundation and all Startups want the Hardfork, and they will get it!
Yeah that is a really good point. The idea of Ethereum and the developers behind it are very innovative, and it is still relatively new. But I do some more competition in the future but that might not even take away from its value. We will see. Long term I am still bullish on Ethereum.
