I think it all depend on where the advertisment will be. In the blogpost? In widget ? In searchresult?
I do not see this as something wrong at all as long as they take it easy and do not have to much advertisement.
STILL - Steemit is stil better than 99% of all blogplatform because we still will earn from publish and interaction.
The ads implementation could be tricky and and would be another series of experiment. Yeah, it is still the best blog platform indeed.
