As far as in the red bloodbaths go, 2018 did pretty well for itself. Heading into 2018 many cryptos were riding high and people were excited. By the end of 2018, most cryptos were rather lackluster and worth just a fraction of their former value. Will 2019 be the opposite; starting with investors hanging their heads in despair and ending with those who hodl driving lambos back to their mansions? Honestly, time will tell.

2019 - THE YEAR OF THE CRYPTO

Of course plenty of powers that be and the banksters want to keep crypto down. Last year though, I think many crypto investors may have "enjoyed" the bear market too, and before you go off on me for even suggesting such a thing, please allow me to explain.

Taxes and cryptos can be a messy thing, and surely not everyone involved in crypto agrees with tax laws. However, as the legislation catches up to what's going on, the laws are constantly changing and the government is hard at work attempting to get what they would call "their share." The year 2018 was my third year being involved in crypto, and I can honestly tell you that I have never paid in even close to as much in taxes as I have in the past years, "thanks" to crypto.

Personally, I try to keep things as upright as I can on my side of things, so some amazing amounts have been paid in taxes because of my involvement in cryptocurrencies. I highly suspect that I am not alone in this. That said, when people do amazing in the crypto market, they can get rather looted when it comes to taxes. However, when the market tanks for a year, which it pretty much did in 2018, two things happen.

First off, for those who do pay taxes on their crypto, it greatly reduces the amount they "owe," possibly even turning their "investment" in crypto into a loss. The second thing a bear market does is allow people to build positions by securing more and more cryptos near (as many would hope) "the bottom." When you combine these two things, some real potential is manifested for 2019. Remember, the less you pay in taxes, the more money you have and therefore, the more you can potentially invest.

Will 2019 be the next incredible bull market where we see a plethora of rags to riches stories made possible by crypto? At this point, no one knows, but we do have two options. We can either give up now, or we can hope and hodl. Personally, I'll be hodling and seeing where the year will take us. I am not alone in this, but still some people feel the opposite way. I know that it can be hard, and sometimes you may even just feel like getting rid of all of your crypto and walking away. If you feel that way, you can always get rid of your crypto by dumping it into one of my wallets (I feel your pain.)
