If the Grid goes down, bitcoin could go up

Just had a conversation with friends. Say an EMP takes out part of the US and we lose internet. Everyone says this will cause BTC to crash. But the opposite may happen. No one can even login to their accounts to sell here, while other countries would be open and probably buy more due to uncertainty.. Counter intuitive.
