Coinbase could be facing a lawsuit

in #crypto7 years ago (edited)

We all know the recent Bitcoin debacle and how Bitcoin split into Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin, two seperate tokens sharing the same transaction history.

When that user activated hark fork was initiated everyone one with bitcoin in their wallets were award and equal amount of Bitcoin Cash. Coinbase firmly boycotted Bitcoin Cash and announced to it's user that they would not be creditting anyones account with Bitcoin Cash, essentially witholding stocks from everyone storing Bitcoin.

In recent days Bitcoin cash has increased in value by 300% to over $700 at one stage rewarding many users on other exchanges such as Bittrex with a tidy profit while coinbase users received nothing due to their zero support policey of Bitcoin Cash.

This has sparked huge anger in the coinbase users and many of whom are now thinking of sueing the company for witholding stocks they were entitled to and can now never be recovered.

If you're a coinbase user with bitcoin holdings I would keep a close eye on this one in case a class action lawsuit is made against them and you may be entitled to compensation.

I am a coinbase user. And as stated in my most recent SteemIt post, I was not expecting to "not get" my Bitcoin Cash. Great post @rickyjrx

It's BS they had no right to withold stocks from anyone!

And those token were registered on the market so where did they go?
