There are going to be a lot of people going through that soon. I grew up believing that the dollar was always going to be around because it was the only thing I knew. A short time ago I started finding out about how weak the dollar is and how inflated it has become. Now I can't think about what I own in terms of dollars, it has to be in the thing's value. It's like buying silver and valuing it in dollars during hyperinflation.
I agree. That's my biggest concern about crypto. I worry that even if they can't control it that they'll pass laws prohibiting its use. People would still own it, but if they get caught buying/selling it, they could go to jail. I think that's one of the biggest concerns that most people ignore.
I'm glad to hear you're still bullish on Steem! I've been enjoying the lower prices because it's been easier to get more Steem, but I think we are ready for a boost soon.
I've been asking a lot of the stores and merchants that I go into if they accept Steem or other crypto. Most of them have said they don't even know what that is. So we've still got a ways to go, but I'm doing what I can to get the info out there.
Thanks for the encouragement to improve. That's something I'm working on actively right now. There are going to be tough times coming up, so how do I want to prepare? What do I need to research to be ready? It's been a fun journey thus far, but it's cool that other people are doing it too!
Matt does seem quite passionate about the steem blockchain. I share your sentiment that he would probably try to do more if given the resources of a top 20 witness.

Living in Greece (which is in a financial mess) my only hope believe it or not is that cryptos will eventually show their true potential. At least the ones that have something to offer such as steem.
I can't really see any other way at least for people in my country to gain financial freedom and probably a better future. This is the way actually...the only way.
That's why I keep trying and buying every now and then some coins, (since my salary is in the same shitty situation as my country's)

Just saw a video today about how Greece has a geographic problem, not easy for an economy to grow (basically too little flatland for farming/cities/infrastructure, and many islands), but crypto have no borders! Even if some people are trying to control it, it's an indomitable beast :)
If there is a global revolution that might have a great effect on the average person, this is crypto. I am a huge fan and even though I entered the crypto game kinda late...I still think we might be the early adopters. Who knows? Time will tell...

Do you plan on maxing all your cards now that you've played some matches. The combinations are endless and if you don't have all the cards one is limiting his chances from what I've seen.

I know we all want crypto to succeed but it still sounds scary when you said "This is closest we've come to fiat collapsing in my lifetime."
I am a weekly poster for the most part. I used to make daily content, but I am more of a macro perspective so daily didn't make much sense for me. I want to get all maxed, but man, it is $$ and hard to find every card, esp the neutral betas. I spent almost 200$ on a lvl nine common neutral! Haha. I've wanted a game that can catch my attention for some time; it is a form of mediation for me.
As for the possible fiat collapse. Change is usually always scary but necessary for advancement.
I know what you mean. I keep asking myself is it worth giving so much money for maxing cards with my budget.
But then I always do beacuse I'm already too deep into it :)
