I can fully relate to the message in this piece although I am a bit older. And I also feel very secure about my cryptoinvestments because I fully believe in them. As they mention in the article, it gives one a sense of being part of a world saving movement!
I believe that the blockchain will do to freedom and finances what the internet did to free speech and communication. An evolution rather than a revolution although the shift is radical.
When the next major financial crisis occours we will probably see the digital currency prices explode. For that reason I am kind of looking forward to it. Sometimes society needs a "gentle" push towards positive changes. I believe the blockchain will have huge positive effects on society, but unfortunately, it might get ugly before we get there.
Putting some or all of your pensions into cryptocurrency might not be such a bad idea. Maybe allocating some of it to precious metals..
