Hello steem family, I decided to share this with us. Some must have seen it and some not seen it. So i share this!

I stumbled on this subject of my post on Medium, a post by Michael K Spencer about Project Libra.

This is actually amazing as it means that Facebook is about to take part in the cryptocurrency world. Yea!

This activity on the part of Facebook means alot as other cryptocurrency would be affected positively and negatively.

---

By June 18th, 2019, it is said that a whitepaper will be released to the public to explain the basics of its cryptocurrency.

---

On that date the facebook token, which is GlobalCoin would be unvieled although Facebook might formally launch it in 2020.

---

Facebook stands the chance of becoming a bank for its users. Also, its name, GlobalCoin would not be global as some countries would be excluded from its list.

Centralization or decentralization looming?

Some Questions for those who could answer it

• Where would steem stand?
• How decentralized would the blockchain be by then?
