Well on my opinion, I guess financial institution are just scared with how blockchain technology affects the way people transact financially and because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that uses blockchain technology, it threatens their assets, my own opinion though. What I'm seeing in the future is that they really can't do anything with it aside from implementing tax or fees.
