Cryptonex (CNX) sent 1000 tokens to my Ether wallet. Is it a scam?
Hi everyone, could anyone here kindly advise me why Cryptonex automatically send their 1000 tokens to my wallet? Not sure what it is about. Some people in other forums say they also received the same amount of those tokens like me and it is a scam. I'm not so sure about it. Can anyone advise me how to deal with it. Thank you.

Did you try to buy Power ledger token ? I thought I was sending ETH to the address that Power ledger have on their token sale website. But I got 1000 Cryptonex (CNX) instead
No, I didn't. I think it selected addresses having transactions in a date and sent those discounted tokens to them. Those tokens are trash in my address. Don't care about it.
Same thing happened to me. Happened right around the time I bought into PowerLedger. Maybe a connection there. But I log into PL and it still recognizes my purchase, so it's still a mystery.
the 1000 tokens can be used to buy cryptonex coins during their ico at a discounted price. if you buy 5000 coins, you'll be given 1000 more. so if you didn't plan to buy their coins during ico, this 1000 tokens is pretty useless.
update: i saw cnx coins being traded on etherdelta. i'm not sure if this is the same cnx token given as discount or the cnx coin sold on ico. these 2 coins are only the same in spelling (cnx), but different actually.
Well, it's been a bit too long, but I'm going to clarify this anyway.
There is CNX coin that is traded at HitBtc and ERC20 CNX token that was airdropped to random addresses and has no particular value as of now. It's a bit confusing since they've got the same abbreviation, but I hope you understan. Etherdelta has listed this token without Cryptonex's approval, and then denied all the requests to delist it, but you can still drop this tokens there if so you wish, it'll be like 6 bucks worth of ETH or something like that. Still, I'll highly suggest you wait for the next bounty campaign where you will be able to trade this tokens for the CNX coins at a certain rate that will be announce later, given that you haven't got rid of them until now

I just imported my metamask into Koinly tax software and it shows a coin CNX that you were talking about 3-4 years ago. I didn't even know I had it as I don't see it in my metamask but it appears to be worth about $1k! Anyway was just looking for the contract address details to add it. I'll keep searching cheers
