CryptoThoughts #23 - Electroneum ICO
It's been at least a month since I've participated in an ICO; Reality Clash was my last one so I figured it was time to get 'back in the ring'.
*** Electroneum is it's own Blockchain and IS NOT an ERC-20 ethereum meta token. ***
I think there is room in the market for a crypto currency that ANYONE can easily "mine" on their smartphone.
Satoshi wanted Bitcoin to essentially be one CPU, one vote but GPU's and eventually ASIC's replaced the CPU mining.
If this coin has the chance to become the first mobile-friendly, mass adopted crypto, then it's worth the risk.
Although these 'advisers' look well poised to take my money if the ICO is over-priced.

I must say, I'm quite skeptical about this coin. I have the impression that their team is rather comprised of people with marketing experience and not blockchain development. Furthermore, they aren't the only ones competing for the spotlight in the mobile niche (e.g. KIN). The "2 digit coin" proposition is outright useless - There is no need to re-invent "Satoshis" . Sorry for the negativity, just my honest opinion.
Let's see how it pans out. Maybe they can actually pull it off.
My exact reasoning for jumping in yesterday with the 10% bonus. It's been getting tons of marketing and fanfaire.
