That's true. The low price is less prone to error, I suppose.
I also use litecoin a lot. Even if I want to trade BTC on bittrex for something, I buy LTC on coinbase, send it to bittrex, sell it for BTC then buy what I want because it is usually cheaper than paying the bitcoin network fee.
