SAFEX Finally Being Added to an Exchange
As a SAFEX invester I was disappointed to learn that SAFEX had been delisted from Bittrex earlier this month. And I was completely blind-sided when Cryptopia followed in their footsteps. Without an exchange many claimed that SAFEX was worthless. I guess you could say so from an investment standpoint. But I knew that wouldn't be the case for long. This coin has way too much potential to be overlooked.
Well.. I have great news! SAFEX just announced that NEXT.Exchange has plans to list their coin as early as January 2018.
What is NEXT.Exchange?
NEXT.Exchange markets themselves as the first “Social Decentralized Stock Exchange for Crypto and ICO Tokens”. The platform will be designed for you to trade internationally, anywhere and anytime. Their aim is to minimize any hassle, and unnecessary limitations of bureaucracy by building an easy-to-use, fool-proof platform for the masses. The platform is expected to be a fully functional alternative to the stock exchange markets in which are currently being dominated by EuroNEXT and Wall Street.
According to their whitepaper, NEXT.Exchange’s long-term goals are to acquire 20% of the market share in the crypto-stock exchange sector. Their overall strategy is to appeal to both experienced and beginner investors wanting to tap into the ever growing crypto-sector.

What This Means for SAFEX Investors
Although NEXT.Exchange is brand spanking new, this is a HUGE win for SAFEX hodlers. The coin has already reached its max supply so the value is only expected to grow from here. The only thing that's been holding us back is our inability to purchase or trade the currency on the open market. For the time being we've all held our SAFEX coins in the SAFEX Wallet. This is probably a good thing, as inexperienced investors tend to sell off their coins when FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) arises.

Cryptopia is not letting me withdraw my Safex. I have written about what Cryptopia is doing with my Safex. Please check out my last post.
Yes, its unfortunate what happened with Cryptopia. A lot of crypto investors are losing faith in Cryptopia because of the SAFEX and ETN delistings. However, the fee is actually not set by Cryptopia but by the blockchain itself. If I'm not mistaken, SAFEX is built on the BTC blockchain so they share the same fees. That's why the fee is 1500 coins. It really sucks but there's not much you can do about that. I wish Cryptopia at least gave you the option to trade SAFEX for another coin that they do have on their exchange.
There are different transaction fees for different coins on different exchanges, which means the transaction fees are decided by the exchanges.
I have my Safex still on Bittrex. Is it risky to let it stay there?
From what I understand, the Bittrex wallet is under maintenance but you can withdraw when maintenance is done. I recommend withdrawing as soon as that is complete. It's possible that this is already complete. It's likely that they will allow two weeks for you to move SAFEX from their exchange. And if you're new to the SAFEX wallet, they created this video to walk you through using it.
Hope that helps!
Helpful info! Thanks!
