How Cryptocurrency is Solving the Worlds Problems

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

It is shocking to people when I tell them that they can get money for free. There is either the normal eye roll or quick changing of topics. In a moment I will even give you an example in this article so you can see for yourself how easy it is and that there isn't really any work involved. If you are someone who is big on charitable work, then this is also a great article for you and I will explain at the end of the article. Lastly, for all of you out there who like the idea that every person in the world deserves a universal basic income, then this article is for you. Most people do not realize that there is a legitimate U.S.-based tax-exempt nonprofit organization behind a project that is giving away money to anyone who signs up. It has given away over $250,000 between 2015 and the end of 2017. We will explore a the benefits to society that cryptocurrency has brought us with you doing it yourself.

Many out there still don't understand the decentralization movement that is cryptocurrency. It is not an anarchist movement, it is not used primarily for criminal purposes, but used to do some truly extraordinary things that no one hears about on the news. One of the most powerful things that blockchain technology brings us is the power to heavily limit manipulation of data. In this case it would be heavy abuse of the system where one person tries to pretend they are multiple people and collect more than their fair share. One of the biggest problems with the idea of a universal basic income would be the immense cost of administering it. Utilizing blockchain cuts out the cost of administration along with restricting the abuse of the system.

Personally I do not feel that a universal basic income should take money away from hard working people within society and give it to others. At the same time I do think we need a universal basic income for people who are in conditions that I cannot even begin to comprehend. The cryptocurrency I will discuss below solves this problem because it was created from donations and are giving it to other people. Everyone wants to help the poor, but everyone is different. Some people have money, some people don't have money, but this cryptocurrency allows you to keep your share when they pay out every week OR automatically donate it to specific charities or groups of people. There is no investment required.

"...this cryptocurrency allows you to KEEP YOUR SHARE when they pay out every week OR AUTOMATICALLY DONATE IT to specific charities or groups of people. There is no investment required."

By not signing up you are saying one of two things:

1) I DO NOT WANT TO BE GIVEN MONEY EVERY WEEK FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE

2) I DO NOT WANT TO CLAIM THE FREE MONEY I GET EVERY WEEK AND DONATE IT TO A GOOD CAUSE

Life is made up of some critical moments and this is one of them. It doesn't matter if you don't care about charitable giving or if it means a lot to you. By not taking this oppertunity you are either depriving yourself of money or someone else of money. I hate to put it in such a cheesy, chainmail type of way, but that's the truth as you will shortly see.

HOW CAN I CLAIM MY FREE MONEY?

Step 1: Go to their web page

Use the following link:https://goo.gl/1SSBRs

OR

Use this QR code

Step 2: Put in your email and click "GET STARTED"

STEP 3:

Towards the bottom of the page, click on "Register your Mannabase account" (I will go over the 10 year referral program later in this article)

STEP 4:

Make your own username, and make a password, click the checkbox agreeing to the terms, click the checkbox to prove your not a robot, then click "Create an Account".

STEP 5: CHECK YOUR EMAIL and Click "VERIFY YOUR E-MAIL"

STEP 6: LOG IN

STEP 7:  YOUR NOT DONE YET! Click where it says "Click here" in green at the top. (See below)

STEP 8: ENTER YOUR HOME ADDRESS AND CLICK "SUBMIT"

NOTE: Please be honest, its not like they will send you junk mail. Having more legitimate users from diverse backgrounds helps this project grow. You can make an address up, but there is no point. All you have given up is your email address and home address, which most peole give out anyway.

STEP 9: ENTER YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER OR NUMBER WHICH CAN RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES

NOTE: Again, you could cheat the system using Google Voice, but please don't. This is meant as a deterrent from people signing up multiple times.

STEP 10: ENTER THE CODE THAT THEY TEXTED TO YOU AND CLICK "SUBMIT"

STEP 11: YOUR DONE!

Congratulations you just did the following:

  • Set up your own cryptocurrency wallet for a cryptocurrency called Manna
  • Helped fight poverty by further decentralizing the distributions that go out (so a small group are not amassing large amounts of it to later dump and cause a crash in its exchange price)
  • Set yourself up to receive weekly payments of your piece of the pie.

If you noticed there is a referral link that is a way for you to earn extra distribution for up to 1 year by referring other people and having them join. It is not a pyramid scheme because there are no overrides, meaning if you refer your friend, then they refer another person you will not get anything for them referring someone, but your friend will. The referral program will last for less than 10 years, when they are hoping to have enough people on board to not need to pay to spread the word.

I encourage EVERYONE to take YOUR LINK (Or mine if you want the reward to come to me, I have a secret plan for it to help the world) and send it to your friends and people you know.  It doesn't matter what your motivation is, referring others will help the cause.

  1. If you are just doing this for money, then this is a great way to get more of it.
  2. If you are not doing this for money and instead want to donate your shares, then this is a great way to be able to donate to the causes you care so much about. It doesn't cost you any money, but you are donating more money to your charities for a year.

NOTE: For those of you who are planning to use the money as a donation, you do not have to have the money automatically donated to a partner charity. You can always sell your cryptocurrency and then donate it or you can just send the cryptocurrency to the charity directly by having them create their own Manna Wallet. If your charity is not set up with them, maybe it is a good idea to introduce Mannabase to them so they can possiblly get more donations.

For those of you not interested in the charity side of things, that's all I got for you. Don't miss this rare opportunity to get cryptocurrency for free and be sure to HODL. As this grows the value of each coin will grow and then more people will sign up. Because there is a limited amount of funds that they share equally to everyone the amount of coins you receive every week will decrease over time as more people sign up. This is like getting Bitcoin for free every week when it was worth only a penny. This project will not grow overnight like other projects out there, but it will likely succeed. On the other hand maybe you should read on maybe you will find something else of interest.

I am not going to review Manna here because they have one of the best and easy to read white papers I have ever seen which can be found here: https://www.mannabase.com/static/documents/whitepaper.pdf?email=ByzantineHash%40gmail.com&company=Ashish+Vaja

If your interested about the impact that it will have on the world and how it can help poor people across the planet I suggest reading through the white paper. At the very least if you have concerns about the thing being a money making scheme you will see it is nothing of the sort by the time your done reading.

There is so much more to cryptocurrency than Bitcoin, people just need to open their minds.

Bill Gates recently expressed his feelings about cryptocurrency on Reddit, Business Insider has a little piece on it here: http://www.businessinsider.com/bill-gates-on-cryptocurrency-2018-2. Some excerpts from this article are below:

"The main feature of cryptocurrencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Governments [sic] ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing,

  • Billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said no technology has "caused deaths in a fairly direct way" to the extent that cryptocurrencies have.
  • He said that the ease with which people can anonymously buy drugs is a major problem, and suggested that cryptocurrencies are used to launder money and fund terrorist organizations.
  • Gates also added that "the speculative wave" around initial coin offerings and cryptocurrencies is "super risky."

He is wrong and is spreading false things about cryptocurrency. The main feature of cryptocurrencies is not anonymity. Bitcoin isn't anonymous, Ethereum isn't anonymous. Furthermore, saying that any store of value has caused deaths in a direct way is like saying:

  • A pirate hundreds of years ago used gold or diamonds to pay to have a person killed. Therefore gold and diamonds kill people.
  • A man hired a killer and paid him in US Dollars and British Pounds to kill a person. Clearly, both of these currencies should be banned.
  • In Russia a woman paid to have her husband killed with a pair of jeans. Jeans are directly the cause of killing people so you should take off your jeans. (Hmm...Okay maybe that sounds a little like a cheesy pick up line)
  • A person killed themself after his PC updated itself to Windows 10 by itself overnight. Windows 10 is clearly evil and has a mind of its own like...Chucky!

Should we ban gold and diamonds? No

How about US Dollars and British Pounds? No

How about jeans? No

How about Windows 10?  (Silence)

Cryptocurrency will cause the largest disintermediation that the world has ever seen within the next 10 years. There will be a massive redistribution of wealth and it will be the catalyst that will begin to change the balance of which countries control the world. Even if Manna does not succeed there are many other cryptocurrencies which aim to decentralize the way things work now. To understand this, think about Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and Google. All of these companies are at risk of losing enormous amounts of revenue because they will be cut out of the sales process because of cryptocurrency.

Data is the new gold and it has been for a long time. Companies like Facebook and Google were built on taking your data and milking as much money out of it as possible. While the services might seem free they are not and what we are witnessing is a global awakening about taking back control of our data.

  • Facebook is a markerting company, its job is to collect as much data as possible from its users and sell it for as much money as possible to as many buyers as possible. Competitors like SteemIT will take over removing the middle person. SteemIT is built in a way that the users directly profit through cryptocurrency for using the network. The system deflates the currency by destroying the money you pay to it for to promote a post. Unlike, Facebook which both directly and indirectly monetizes its users. SteemIT can only make money by having more users use the platform and transact.

Many people ask why do we need cryptocurrency? Well... if there wasn't a cryptocurrency built on a blockchain then there wouldn't be            the transparency to know if those funds were really destroyed or not. (Yes, cryptocurrency can exist without blockchain, don't listen to              the screaming dotard on TV that thinks mining Ethereum with NVidia graphics cards is a bright idea)

  • Amazon is a middleman that connects sellers with buyers. What many people fail to realize is that Amazon has more data about you than Google and Facebook combined. Their power does not lie in simply charging fees to sell or buy products, but from the fact that they know more about you than you probably do. Think about it, the movies you like, the books you read, the clothes you order, the food you eat, when your married, when you have a baby, and the list goes on. There are a multitude of projects like Safex or Syscoin that aim to remove Amazon from the picture. The users, the sellers and buyers are in control. Data can be collected in an anonymous way that cannot be circumvented, but allows for things like shopping recommendations. A common misconception is that privacy is evil, but I am sure there are everyday things you purchase for males and females you don't want shared with the world. By removing the middleman users are in control of what is shared and what isn't. Most importantly, transactional costs are decreased and the money from selling the data will go to its owners.
  • Amazon's Alexa, Microsoft's Cortana, and Apple's Siri are making large pushes in development of data collection. These voice assistants are seemingly a great thing because they can make your life easier. On the other hand they are also collecting as much data from you to sell it for as much as possible, to as many people as possible.
  • Google's search engine and Microsoft's Bing search engine are functional tools we could not live without, but again the amount of data that is being collected and sold is mind boggling. Cryptocurrency projects like Presearch are changing the distribution of wealth in society. Go to Presearch.org, set up an account and do all of your day to day searching through it instead. You still are using Google, Amazon, and other services. Except it is collecting the same data that they are and instantly rewarding you for it with their cryptocurrency. You can earn roughly 7.5 coins per day, and you get .25 coins per search. In the image below you can see that I can just click which platform I am searching: Google, Amazon, LinkedIN, etc.

I can even customize the search provider list.

At the time of writing one Presearch coin is worth roughly $0.25, and peaked earlier in the year around $0.80. So that means someone using it on a daily basis would earn at least $1.875 per day and if it takes off and you never spent the coins, then the daily amount you were making could be as high as $10 to $20 per day. A concept like that of Presearch is only a single way to collect data  points that companies currently collect on you. Think about that for a minute.

(I do not think the model is sustainable in the long run, but it is a good start in customer aquisition to later pivot to a more comprehensive model)

A middle school kid can make $2 to $10 per day doing while Googling something for his homework. What about some child in a third world country who could die at any minute from severe dehydration, disease, malnutrition? How much would $2 per day mean to them? Now add in their universal basic income from Manna, and then add in their author and curation rewards from using SteemIT instead of Facebook. Are you getting the point now?

Within a year there will be enough cryptocurrency projects out there that you could probably sit at home selling your data and make over $50 per day doing it. Actually, if someone has active social media accounts you could probably do it today if you add in bounty rewards for spreading the word about new projects. Keep in mind that the money is being made at the cost of Google, Facebook, etc. We are talking about a change in the 80/20 rule that gives us the long tail that the most impoverished in the world sit at the end of.

For anyone trying to help the poor you might be giving them a fish by donating money to them directly, but cryptocurrency is what will change the system that we live in offering them a chance to get the fish themselves. I am not saying that you should stop giving money to help these people directly because they certainly need the help and as a society we need to help them. What I am saying is that instead of giving people a painkiller that temporarily helps them we need to create a vaccine that improves the life of those in the long term.

"For anyone trying to help the poor you might be giving them a fish by donating money to them directly, but cryptocurrency is what will change the system that we live in offering them a chance to get the fish themselves."

I chose to bring up Bill Gates earlier because he is a very rich man who is trying to spend the rest of his life giving away all of his money for good causes, which I commend him for...sort of. What I am about to say hopefully doesn't stop those of you who donate money, but hopefully it makes you think about how you could do more. Donating can be an easy way out, making you feel good about yourself. Donating should be a selfless act, which costs you something. For a poor family with two parents making minimum wage to donate money is a true selfless act. For Bill Gates to give away money it is not the same thing, but I admit it can in some cases have tremndous impact, like eradicating Polio. Bill and Melinda are incredibly smart people and they have so much more than money to offer the world. If Bill Gates were to treat the foundation more like he did Microsoft in its early days and getting his hands dirty in solving problems there would be a real sacrifice. Pulling an all nighter to make sure his team can develop technology that can permanently change peoples lives who live in poverty would be comparable to a poor family taking money they desparately need and selflessly donating it. Traveling to the most dangerous parts of the world to see the problems people are facing is very noble, but at the same time I think he could do so much more. The only projects I see close to being a technology solution to a problem is his attempts at fixing education in the US. InBloom for example was a disaster and had questionable motives even though $100 Million was donated by him for it. https://www.geekwire.com/2014/gates-backed-inbloom-winding-non-profit-faces-concerns-privacy/

The project ultimately appeared to amount to a mass data collection scheme. While most are quick to say he was trying to steal the data himself to make money, I doubt that is the case.  I think the problem is the management oversight by Bill Gates himself in these projects. I highly doubt that if Bill were actually involved on a day to day basis in projects like InBloom that they would have turned out so bad. Look at your skill set and ask if it can be used for the charities you are involved in.

If every person in the world had the power to make $10 per day would it help Mr. Gates? What would the impact of $10 per person, per day in a low income neighborhood? How much effort is being spent educating people in low income neighborhoods about how cryptocurrency can be used to achieve this?

There are working cryptocurrency solutions in the wild that are aiming to tackle things like poverty at its roots both directly(Manna) and indirectly(SteemIT). It can change the problems with education in this country at its roots by giving poor families in the country more financial power. You can currently make at least $10/day worth of cryptocurrencies at their current market prices. If any one of those were to explode in price then it would be a much higher effective amount being earned. Many of you out there only get your information from places like Fox Business and CNBC that are so clueless about anything cryptocurrency related it is sad. As a result many of you bring a preconceived notion about cryptocurrency including Mr. Gates. People need to open their minds and learn for themselves.

GLOBAL WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION

Recently I saw Apollo Onho on TV promoting cryptocurrency and doing some great things, but there was one area where I have to disagree with him strongly on. When they asked him if the US is still going to be the tech leader, he said that America will always be the place for technology start ups including cryptocurrency. I am sorry, but the US lost the crypto race a long time ago and is continuing to fall behind a long list of countries more rapidly than Washington realizes.

What country is Crypto Valley located in?

Which country taxes cryptocurrency as property?

Politicians think that cryptocurrency is merely about investing, Bitcoin, and killing state issued currencies. They are so far off it is sad.

For example: Under current US tax law, that politicians refuse to fix, people involved in cryptocurrency run into the following:

1) If you invest in a cryptocurrency and make $1000, then invest in another cryptocurrency and lose all your money what will you be taxed on? You will be taxed on $1000, doesn't matter if you lost it all. On the flip side if I invested in stocks with TD Ameritrade and had the same situation I would not be taxed on anything. The current law makes cryptocurrency trading in the US extremely dangerous. Which countries middle class and lower class will rise from the cryptocurrency boom? Not the US obviously. (Google Mrs Wantabe, then think about which middle class is being lifted)

2) This is where the regulators aren't even aware of use cases for cryptocurrency outside of Bitcoin. They don't realize that by simply using something like a crypto version of Facebook people can end up with enormous tax liabilities. Governments need to rapidly educate themselves on utility basis for cryptocurrency:

  1. If I were to make a Steem post, then earn 10 Steem. At the time it was earned, it was trading at $100.
  2. Now the structure of Steem is complex, but basically you don't actually get spendable Steem, but it is converted into Steem Power so that you may have more earning power by "liking" (upvoting) posts. The system is designed to stop the spreading of fake news and manipulation by intertwining the cryptocurrency into the framework of the system. (Again this is a heavily simplified explanation of it)
  3. Six months later it is tax time but the price of Steem has dropped to $1 and the IRS comes after you for $1000 that you don't have.

OR

  1. If I "like" (upvote) a post on Steem and get 100 Steem curation reward.
  2. Then spend all of it on promoting another post and other marketing services. I will still have to pay tax on the 100 Steem even though I realized no profit from it. That means my next post will have to cover my tax liability and if it flops then I am going into debt. Yes, posting on a social media site can drown a person in the US in debt because of the cryptocurrency tax laws.

Dear politicians from the United States can you name another country that taxes cryptocurrency like this other than Isreal?

HINT: https://cryptobazar.news/2017/12/19/which-countries-pay-the-cryptocurrency-tax/

It is exactly the above problems which will lead to the rise of countries that allow their lower and middle classes to utilize cryptocurrency. For a country like South Korea cryptocurrency could propel them to becoming a global super power. For countries similar to Belarus or Lithuania this could propel them to the upper parts of the global GDP list. For very poor countries it could get them close to where Belarus or Lithuania are now. Many countries are already understanding this and offering no taxes for a period of time for cryptocurrency or at the very least not creating laws and taxes that hinder its growth within the country. It is a rare time in human history where there will be a changing of the guard and a great opportunity for a massive decrease in poverty rates across the globe.

I will end this article with the irony of Bill Gates saying that no technology has "caused deaths in a fairly direct way" to the extent that cryptocurrencies have. What if Bill Gates misinformation delays the advancement of cryptocurrency by misinforming smart developers from joining the cryptocurrency movement? Then Mr. Gates would be depriving poor people of a universal basic income that cryptocurrency has brought to reality and he would be directly causing their deaths.

But hey, lets look on the bright side tech companies are going to connect poor African countries to the internet... so Silicon Valley can steal their data...I mean give them "free" services.

It is the poor people around the world that will need protection during the crypto boom that is coming. As a society we need to make sure that they are free to thrive from the boom just like all of us and not have their data leeched away.

Disclaimer: It is possible that I am really, really dumb and have no clue about much of anything, because I did not attend a "small" high school :)

(Google...I mean Presearch: "Bill Gates small schools")

Hey Ashish. :) I signed up and now it's time to promote. Looks awesome! Crypto to save the world. Let's do it.

Thanks! Let your friends know too, this is great for religious organizations like Church's for example. All the members could sign up and just donate it to their place of worship for example.

Spreading the word! 4 referred one verified. Let's see what today brings. :)

I think you will have more than me within a few days at that rate :) Nice work!

Excellent post. I have resteemed. Do you know @taskmaster4450? He is speaking the same language as you are, even the Mannabase option. Perhaps you two can connect. In the meantime, you have expanded my vision of blockchain and Cryptocurrencies and how they are symbiotic. many blessings.

Thanks! No I don't know @taskmater4450, but just checked out his stuff and am now following him :)
I love what I see so far of his, haven't really seen anyone out there like him who gets it.

He is almost annoyingly optimistic. But thats good, for me at least, because I have a tendency to be a bit cynical. So I read his posts not only for the information but for the attitude boost. Seems you are of the same mold. Blessings.

He may be a little more optimistic than me as I have had time to read more of his stuff, but yeah we are very similar in that regard. Without someone being cynical the world to be a boring place and probably do a bunch of stupid stuff.

Well, we certainly don't have a drought of Stupid going on. I vacillate between being a cynic and a realist. When I try and impress people I'm a "realist", don't you know.
