"Nearly Half of All DAO Funds Withdrawn After Ethereum Hard Fork" by Cryptoverse

in #cryptocurrency8 years ago (edited)

50% of the DAO was purchased by Ethereum insiders and developers, as they represent only 5% of the investors, and don't expect them to sell. The other 50% however might be on Poloniex, where traders are still waiting to get their refund, and are not able sell as yet.

posting youtube videos is no content theft, at least not if OP is not re uploading it to his channel. downvoting this post is abuse of the downvote function in my opinion.

your content belongs to youtube, since you accepted their terms when you uploaded to their platform. you, as the creator, earn ad money on the video (if you want), and you're free to allow embedding or not.
nothing "ripped" here, except you being unlucky with your post earlier.

are you 100% sure about that!

If this happens again, the best way to react is to contact the blogger and kindly request a share of the payment, if you are very nice with your request you will most likely get paid. Attacking with downvotes is not the way to operate on a blockchain, decentralized is all about being nice to get good results, that's the big different between steemit and other social platform, positive actions are rewarded.

If it happens again? I'd appreciate if you didn't do it again, but yes if someone else does it I will consider it.

I agree with the concept you are putting forward however as soon as I saw what you'd done, you already revealed yourself to be dishonest, so how could I expect a positive response to a request for a share of the payout?

If you liked my content, why didn't you upvote it yourself? to signal to the network that you believe my content should be seen by more people.

That's how the system works.

Here's the list of upvoters on my original post at time of writing:

I don't see you on it mate.

So you saw my content as valuable enough to re-post, but not to upvote yourself?
Strange that.

Therefore I can only conclude that it was your explicit intention to leech off my hard work.

And you say "it's all about being nice to get good results".
If that's true how come you re-posted my content (not nice) and yet still got good results?
Your argument fails a simple test of logic.

I found your video on youtube, not steemit

Here is post of someone who earned $220 from sharing one of my videos, and you can see in the comments how I reacted to it... https://steemit.com/money/@autosmile13/so-i-guess-i-should-make-this-video-about-the-steemit-com-hack

Downvoting for non-abuse isn't always abuse either. It won't make you any friends though!

This is a direct rip off of my content which was published on Steemit an hour before this article. I therefore call for a downvote.

Here's my original post showing me as the author. I am also the creator of the video, not just a curator:
https://steemit.com/thedao/@marketingmonk/nearly-half-of-all-dao-funds-withdrawn-after-ethereum-hard-fork-the-cryptoverse-45

Please visit that post and upvote the comment from @calamus056 who brought this crime to my attention.

My videos also get shared by others on steemit, if you do not want your videos to get shared you can disable the sharing on yoututbe, also I could not find a link to your steemit account on youtube, or else I would have linked to your steemit in the blog post

Total BS mate. My Steemit username is clearly visible as the author of the original Steemit post where I say, quote:
"Listen to my podcast here:"
and
"Watch my YouTube version here:"

dude, I watched your video on youtube, found it informative and then posted it, I did not see it on steemit until you showed up in the comments on this post

Scratch that. You had me for a second there. Listen to the last 30 seconds of the video where I explicitly invite viewers to upvote the episode on Steemit. This link will jump you straight to the end where I say this

If that's true then you're welcome to send me the payout for your post and I'll send out a public message exonerating you.

Still a total rip off, where in your actual post do you give credit to @marketingmonk?

right here in the comments, before he showed up and commented on this post, I did not know his steemit acount

It was included in the video

I am happy I sold all my Ethereum. I lost $800 profit in 1 day, but I am happy I could sell it at least break-even.

Do you know a guide how to withdrawn ETH from DAO using standard ethereum client Mist?

Need to upgrade to 8.0 there is a DAO recovery in that wallet

Mist 0.8.1 is a must! Check menu Develop, point "support DAO Fork" must be marked otherwise you will get useless ether from non-fork chain

Thanks. I installed 0.8.1 but I got errors and I did not sync blockchain. I will try again..

I need to cash out as well. Thanks

Wow total rip off from the @marketingmonk! Not impressed

not cool to be ripping off content from @marketingmonk though is it

yo what's up? u busy scamming some tools?

Another great post, thanks for sharing. Thought provoking as usual!!

thats because the content is created by @marketingmonk
