Ethereum is over $300! Would you have liked to buy in when it was $3? NOW YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO SO!

Last year before February, Ethereum was chilling around at under $3 in the altcoin Nirvana.. and then it exploded.

How would you feel if you would've bought some ETH back then? Like 100 ETH for around $300?
Today, your ETH would be worth $33600! And if you would have invested $1000, you would be holding ETH worth more than $112000!

Hey, no need to be sad. You may have the chance now... with LISK! It's in the early stages as was Ethereum a year ago. Funnily, Lisk has been developed a year after Ethereum. And a lot of people say it's the new and better version of Ethereum.

What is LISK?

To understand what Lisk really is, you have to know what Ethereum is and how it works.

Ok, so what is Ethereum?

Ok, so what is LISK?

Lisk is a 'modular' cryptocurrency, basically Ethereum on steroids. Lisk allows anyone to use its 'designing block' or better module kit to construct their own decentralised apps. Meaning, even your grandma could start her own blockchain application!

At what price is LISK now?

About a month ago it was under $1, so it has risen a whopping 300% already, but since it will be (very likely) more developer- and userfriendly, Lisk could easily achieve and surpass where Ethereum is right now: the $300 mark...within a couple of months. As soon as the developer kit (SDK) comes out, the price will have it first major surge, which will catapult it to probably over $10 within the first days of that news reaching the world. And it could easily climb to $100 when reaching Phase 5 in 2018.

Ethereum vs Lisk

The Ethereum project currently has much bigger value than Lisk which is logical because it was developed before Lisk. A lot of projects are being developed at the Ethereum platform and Lisk is still developing a Software Development Kit which is needed for developers to start creating magical projects on Lisk sidechains.

To make a project on Ethereum blockchain you will need to learn a programming language called Solidity which is pretty young, an unproven language and still doesn't have a big pool of developers.

On the other hand Lisk tends to focus on the JavaScript developers and it's well known that the Javascript pool of coders is huge.

There is an argument out there that you can develop on Ethereum using Javascript but this is only half the truth. At Ethereum you can use JavaScript for the dapp front end, and Solidity for the dapp back end. So to develop on Ethereum you will still need to learn Solidity.

Ethereum is doing smart contracts which are all saved on one blockchain. If you want to develop a dapp in Ethereum you need to connect the functionalities of several smart contracts. In Lisk you get a complete package. You don't develop a single smart contract. You build an entire application which is running on its own blockchain. It's like you develop a new crypto-currency platform with an extended feature-set. As a developer you just need to implement the necessary new features on top of the already existing platform.

Another argument which would favour Ethereum and go against Lisk on the first sight is that Javascript uses floating point which means some things get approximated and digits get lost in certain cases. The founder of Lisk responded to that argument and explained that for big numbers, Lisk is using bignumber.js. He says it's not about the language you choose, it's about your coding skills. If you know what you are doing JavaScript is entirely fine.

When it comes to security at Ethereum there are "rules" directly embedded into their compiler, so if the developer makes a mistake and the consensus is broken, then the dapp needs a hard fork.

At Lisk, developers just have to follow rules, so if there is a problem it's totally fine because the dapp is only running in a sidechain.

This is a huge security advantage for Lisk. If a dapp fails, the Lisk network doesn't even hiccup. However, if one smart contract on Ethereum fails, it can mean game over for Ethereum.

NOTE: This is not a trading/buying advice! Do your own research and only spend what you can afford to lose and NEVER use lend money or money that you don't have.

Thanks for the info! I already had a few Lisk, but just bought some more!

So it was you, who drove the price of Lisk higher today ^^

Your welcome ;)

Excited to see LISK prosper. :D

It hopefully will!

Yes, we have reported about that ;)

Thank you! How do you best securely store lisk?

As usual wallet. Do not store any cryptocurrency in exchanges!

Lisk will be the next big one... thanks for the article mate follow me @ch00fy

As a LSK holder I approve of this message

Thanks for the insight.

Thank you for reading it.

Great post and explanation! Thank you.

Lisk has the potential but many things like the ANTShares now branded as NEO dubbed Chinese ethereum is also popping up. See in the battle of blockchain platforms who is the winner !!
